    New IAPA editor announced

IAIA is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Urmila Jha-Thakur as the new editor of Impact Assessment and Project Appraisal (IAPA). Urmila will begin her term on 1 July 2023.

Urmila is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Geography and Planning, where she also serves as the Director for all Post Graduate Taught (PGT) Programs across the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of Liverpool, UK. She is a highly-cited and award-winning author with extensive publications in IAPA and elsewhere, including books, reports, and magazine articles, as well as a prolific reviewer, and has served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Environmental Assessment Policy and Management (JEAPM). She believes that IAPA is emerging as the leading journal in the field of impact assessment and is excited to be able to continue its current momentum, including building on the current trajectory of an improving Impact Factor. Her vision for IAPA includes reaching out to a wider audience of researchers from a broad range of disciplinary backgrounds who have not yet identified IAPA as their source on IA-related research. Urmila may be reached at Urmila.thakur@liverpool.ac.uk or https://www.linkedin.com/in/urmila-jha-thakur-901a3834/. Please join us in congratulating Urmila on her new role!

We extend our sincere thanks to the outgoing editor, Prof. Thomas Fischer, for his dedicated service to IAPA since 2016.
